KALIMERA

Friday, 30 September 2016

I know, I know it´s been a whole month
since I´ve returned from Greece,
but there is still so much I have to share with you guys!
Like this white/green outfit,
which fits perfectly to Mykonos´ streets.
Oh, how I miss those narrow roads of Mykonos-Town!
This green lace top is everything,
it matches to almost every piece I have in my closet.
To avoid a big contrast between my outfit
and the beautiful buildings of this Island, I combined my favorite top
with casual white pants.

MYKONOS

Sunday, 25 September 2016

Kalimera lovelys!
Before I went to Mykonos, I thought it´s just a
poor copy of Santorini.
I promise you, you can´t compare these two Greek Islands.
Well, maybe the souvenirs they´re selling in every corner.
We stayed at the hotel Voula´s Rooms in Agios Ioannis,
which again was the perfect decision,
because Mykonos secretly is a party Island.
So if you´re not into that partying life every night you should stay away
of Mykonos-Town.

Agios Ioannis and the hotel we chose
were just perfect, because we had a beach directly
infront of our door and a perfect breakfast view
every single morning.
I should just stop talking and show you,
what I´m talking about!

Mykonos-Town is the center of the Island
and there you´re going to find
hundreds of restaurants and stores where you can shop
things for yourself and your loved ones.
But I have to warn you, Mykonos is much more expensive than Santorini.

Every single house in Mykonos is white and has colorful details.
Now you´re going to say, it´s the same in Santorini.
But no, in Santorini you`ll find many buildings
which aren´t white.

Ever wondered on how many pictures of strangers you are?

This was my favorite place in Mykonos-Town,
because of the waves and the smell of the ocean.
While writing this, I look out of my window
and try not to cry.

And there is still the beautiful Port of Mykonos,
where you should enjoy atleast one meal.

You definitely have to try a pita!!!

And visit the windmills, which are totally overrated in my opinion.
But you have to walk up the hill to get the
beautiful view over Mykonos.

To come to the beaches, there are obviously hundred
of different beaches.

PARADISE BEACH
Mykonos is a little unicorn Island
and the paradise beach is known for it´s gay partys.
The partys there start at the early afternoon
and end at 2 o´clock in the night,
just to go on in the skandinavian bar/disco,
which is in Mykonos-Town.

Paraga Beach
Paraga beach is directly behind the cliff to paradise
and is much more expensive than Paradise.
You will pay like 60 euro for a hookah.
No not for the whole hookah, just to smoke one time.
Don´t let them fool you.
I liked this beach more because of the music
and the people there.

Scorpio Beach
This beach is for the upper class of the Island
and much more quite and relaxing.
The waiter there told us that
it wouldn´t be suprising to meet famous actors
and singer.
I may spyed Leo DiCaprio on that big yacht infront of me.
Just kidding, sadly there was no Leo.

 Ornos Beach
Ornos was the family beach of the Island.
There were many kids who played in the ocean,
but you´re goint to find quite corners
if you want to.

To sum it up: every beach in Mykonos was perfect,
because of the crystal blue waters of the ocean.
Just book your flight and don´t ever
come back!

Rooftops & Stairways

Tuesday, 20 September 2016

If you travel to Santorini,
you atleast need to take one picture
(or several thousand)
on a roof or on stairways.
To cut a long story short:
here I´m wearing my favorite pants,
which I looked for all my life and the cute off-shoulder top
which Sena Isikal made for me.
(More of this top here)

SANTORINI

Sunday, 11 September 2016

If you follow me on Instagram, you´ve probably
noticed that I´ve been to Mykonos & Santorini
a few weeks ago.
And I loved every second!
Santorini truly is a place you can`t describe
to someone, who hasn´t been there.
The cliffs, the sunsets, the ocean even
the sky is different in Santorini.
I think we haven´t seen a single cloud there.
It´s just blue.
 All the time.
We´ve arrived on a Friday night
and the easiest and fastest way to get to your hotel
is by cab.
We stayed at Ifestos Villa which is in Fira.
We thought about staying in Oia or Imerovigli,
but it was the best desicion to stay in Fira,
because Santorini has more than just the beautiful cliffs
and Fira is in the center of the Island.
So it doesn´t take you an hour from one end to the other.

There also are the stairways and the roofs.

Just kidding guys, I´m talking about
Santorinis beautiful beaches.
The red beach in Akrotiri...

...and the white beach which,
I don´t know why I haven´t taken pictures of.
You get to the white beach with a boat (5€/person) from the red beach.

Ps: the other beaches are black because of the volcano.
(Did you know there is a volcano next to the Island?
I didn`t!)
But the water is still clear blue
and perfect for a swim.
Drive to Perivolos or Perissa.
They`re the quite ones.

Oia is perfect for the sunsets,
but I have to warn you.
Everyone has the same idea.
Every evening.

Just go to the cute little Crepe store, (Vitrin Creperie) and
order yourself a milkshake.
Enjoy your drink and the sunset on a seat away from
all those tourists.
Oia is also a place you should escape to on the afternoons,
when you need some time away from all these people,
because Fira-town is always crowded.
Always.

You need to rent yourself a ATV.
It was the best decision we made after the decision of staying in Fira.
we payed like 100€ for 4 days and
it was worth every penny.
You get to Oia, Imerovigli, Firostefani and the beaches
within minutes.
And I promise you, you get to see every single
corner of Santorinis perfection in a couple of days.

You´re going to find hundreds of stores
in Fira, where you can shop for yourself
and your loved ones.

When it comes to food you can eat from 3€ to 50€ per night.
We tried many different Restaurants
and none of them disappointed us,
but you need to try a pita with gyros, tzatziki, onions and tomatoes.
Still dreaming of it.
We seriously thought about opening our own
pita store here in Germany.

Santorini always was on my bucket list
and I really can´t imagine a place
more spectacular than Santorini.
I´m about to get myself a one way ticket
and stay there like forever.

XoXo Yildo

This is the map we used everyday.
Here you´re going to find Restaurants and places you
should watch the sunset at.
